You don't HAVE to be born with Food Allergies to end up getting one.

Now I have to travel everywhere with an EpiPen (emergency self-injecting needle that stops anaphalaxis) because my reactions are so severe. Now every time I eat a fruit, vegetable, or nut, I stop breathing and my throat swells and closes. Just be careful because if you think its annoying now, try having to go to the ER every time.

It used to be apples when I was younger, but it's progressed to virtually every fruit and vegitable I eat now. Whenever I eat them, my lips, gums, throat and stomache burns, so I keep away from fruits and vegitables, but I still get a reaction. Could this be an allergy?

Great video! I love seeing these kids so happy and smart even though they have severe allergies. My baby has FPIES (Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome) which I describe as a severe allergy (epipen won't help!) to milk and soy proteins. Luckily, he'll grow out of it! This video makes me feel like we can make it!

Absolutely! Both my kids have food allergies, but I have met adults who have gotten allergic to what USED to be a favorite food like strawberries, shrimp and dairy products. You don't HAVE to be born with Food Allergies to end up getting one.

It's disheartening to see so many kids with allergies and sad that there is such a rise in food sensitivies and food allergies due to our processed foods. Wonderful, moving video. I have two children with severe peanut, tree nut, sunflower and sesame seeds allergies as well as mango and kiwi. They also have eczema, asthma and enviromental and cat allergies. It can be alot of work, thats true ,and it is truly a life changing experience for the child and the whole family. Most people don't understand these issues and how it impacts these kids when it comes to social and school issues etc. Because of this my kids are considerate and more caring.

I'm allergic to milk, eggs, gelatin, honey, shellfish, chocolate, coffee, Red Dye #5, bees, pollen, mold, house dust, pet dander, ragweed, smoke, grass, trees, weeds, and smog. So basically I'm allergic to food and life. haha.
