Molds are tiny microscopic organisms that eat and digest organic matter. They reproduce by releasing spores which are approximately the size of a pin head. Mold are a type of fungi. There are more than 100,000 species. Outdoors in nature, mold helps decompose or break-down leaves, organic matter, wood and other plant debris. Mold can become a problem when they go end up in our homes where they are not wanted and start digesting parts of our homes.
